DS2 Broken World All*Saves - When game doesn't see DS2 savegames

Version 2 is released.

Changes:
- An experimental "SeeFar Hack" slider has been added to the loader so people can play with it to enjoy far view while playing.
- The camera has been tweaked to be less restritive whatever are the internal map settings.

I want to have your babies Elys purely for the fatc that you have done us all a great service

The link above is good, probably just internet hickup on the server at the time he tried to dl it. And the All*Saves mod is at version 2. The Succubus mod is version 7.

And this SeeFar option is a nice thing most player will love i guess.

However is version 1.0 still available anyhow without that SeeFar option?
I would like to customize the values a bit more...

I'm sorry for my stubbornness, and yes i have seen this feature is experimental, maybe a bit more configurable in future version!?

Damn, sorry, i just found v1... on my own PC. ;)

KillerGrimal: The SeeFar hack is not activated until you checked the checkbox at right of the slider. So It does nothing until you choose to use it.

However there is other camera tweaks independant of the SeeFar Hack which is force minimum azimuth to 5, and dynamically set your max zoomout according to the active mood (the more the fog is far away the more you can zoom out). Is it what you did not want ?

...yes the azimuth settings is the matter - temporarely at least.

Please don't missunderstand me, it's a great feature you have added here, but i guess some players would like to have more influence on the camera settings too - some will probalby like zero for their screen shots and some of them even a higher minimum azimuth do prevent that the camera accidentally drops too deep during battles.

Would it be possible once to add the value definitions like in main.gas into ElysDS2BWAllSaves.ini so people just could edit them manually!?

Maybe you like to know that after every in-game sequence the camera setting fall back from the current values to lowest camera azimuth and farest range.
Like the end of a NIS welcomes you with a notable FPS drop - probably you can find a work-around for this!?

And if you find a minute - about the SeeFar slider, what does that value mean exactly?
Is that value an absolute value same for every frustum depth/height or is this e.g. a percentage to add to actual mood settings of the region you currently are?

As you will notice surely, these are matters of performance.
It sould be clear for everybody that 'more sight' you have to pay with FPS, but i guess everybody will appreciate if this SeeFar option keeps the price low. ;)

The SeeFar view increase World Frustrum size to the value you set it, as well as tweaking the fog according.
If the map has a mood that use an higher setting that what you set if SeeFar, then the map setting is used. The Seefar just ensure that you will always have a frustrum/fog distance at least as high as you set it.

Since SeeFar increase world frustrum, you see ALL far: landscape, objects, monsters etc.

The alternative to increase only the "Landscape view" without all the objects and monsters, is of course FPS wise better, but not increasing the frustum can cause problem with some game triggers.

As for the GUI, it already exists but I'm not playing DS2 these days, which means I'm not motivated to work on DS2 stuff :p

About the SeeFar option, very nice done, indeed i like they dynamical loading of the nodes - i just wondered how intense the stress for your PC could be.

So as mentioned above, SeeFar is not the matter, i just guess most player would like to have some more influence on the camera distance/azimuth settings.
So if you find some time once, that would be welcome.
