one loving the demo glad i pre ordered.

second why does that tac missile launcher take sooooo long for the cybran?? i had 7 subcoms on it and it took forever.(same with heavy arty but i can see that)

also why do people say the cybrin are weak? i just played them and there pertty good what sucked was that my heavy arty killed the other commander before my army of t3 assault bots (yea through some t1 in too)/t2 gunships/spy planes/air superority fighters/ t3 mobile arty/2 sub coms/various havy tanks amphibious you name it!!!!! i was kinda sad because i could not use the tac missiles,the cool battle ships i was building,the nuke subs,etc all because i won too fast:(

from what ive seen

cybran heavy arty=awesome
commander=neat
gun ships(t2)=AMAZING
bombers=wow
building units= fast on everything but 3 t3 things

i know ill have some fun with my semi turtle/huge game ending rush strat on 80x80 maps!!!!

Are you talking about the "nuclear silo" tactical missle launcher?

Yea I can kinda see why that takes along time to build ,nukes going everywhere isn't too grand (=

There's always a race everyone wants to consider bad , due to one or two things . I think on scale Cybs units aren't as strong , also there shield generators require more mico-managing/ resources and aren't as effective as the other factions.

But it's really only small things which don't make much difference in the long run, I don't consider them underpowered really. Majority of times things are considered weak due to worth of mouth and opinion, when they really aren't.

I decided to have a rematch against the "hard" AI today and got a much better build order and general strategy down. I did so well that the inner part of my base was untouched the entire game. My outer defenses deflected every blow. The better thing about playing skirmish on "hard" mode is that the game type is changed to Supremacy, meaning a commander kill won't end the game.

Some Notes:
All heavy artillery is awesome. The UEF's Mavor and the Cybran's Scathis are both artillery that go beyond that level of awesome.

The Cybran commander is by far the neatest since it can go invisible and shoot a microwave laser at the same time!

There are ways to deal with gunships. It involves lots of AA and shields, but they can be dealt with.

There are even easier ways to deal with bombers. It's best to ensure a safe path before you make a run with them.

And yeah, nukes are incredibly powerful. It takes a long time to build them for a very good reason.

I like putting 5 T3 Engineers on my heavily-used factories (have them assist the factory) to increase production speed. Each T3 engineer adds 50% of the T3 factory alone, so 5 engineers increases production speed by 250%, meaning production time is cut by 72%. Get 3 factories like this, and you're pumping out even T3 Assault Bots at an amazing rate.

Back to my rematch with the AI. I finished the fight by using a grand display of force. I had a fleet consisting of: 4 Galaxy Class Battleships, 8 Siren Class Cruisers, 12 Salem Class Destroyers, and 20 Trident Class Frigates lined up at the shore of the enemy base. On land, I had 60 Loyalist Heavy Assault Bots come in from the other side. And for long-range support, I had three fully-powered Scathis artillery pounding away from the safety of my base.

I don't know why, but only a huge Cybran navy makes me all giddy. There's just so many things flying through the air, and then your destroyers start crawling onto land.

Nuclear warfare is a scarry thing, and the missiles build relativly fast if you've got a few supporting engies and a good econ. In game, I've only ever gotten to nukes against other players two or three times durring the entire beta (once involved a large scale carpetnuking of a defencive line which caught the commander by accident.)

It was glorious.

Everyone's too busy doing other things to be bothered to build anti-nukes, are they?

My Ally was UEF, T3 gunships on suicide runs are good at taking care of the damned things once we spot them.
