using the dual-head functionality on two separate video cards

there was a good sale going on at the local hardware store and so I ended up getting a 7900GTO (yay, quite an upgrade) and keeping my 6800GT as a secondary card to drive my second and third monitors (I need the setup for work-related reasons). When I select dual-head inside of supreme commander however it looks as if it's trying to send the output to the second head of my primary video card, and not to the primary head of my secondary card.

Is there a way to select exactly on which display the secondary screen in supreme commander goes?

AFAIK the model they use to run 2 screens doesn't allow for seperate cards (excluding SLI). So put both screens on the 7900GTO and play that way.

So why then can you specifiy a Primary and Secondary Video card? Unless you're running an SLI setup which makes things a bit different.

Supreme Commander doesnt support dualhead AND sli, i.e. sending outputs to two different cards.

SupCom does not support SLI? So its no use getting two cards in SLI then?

Thing is, I madea post back asking for just this, and they all said SupCom supported two cards in SLI, but not the dualhead.

Someone clarify this once and for all please?

that's unfortunate, as for sure the game would have much better performance with two screens if the second could be put on a completely separate video card Sad
